My name is Mariah Starkey
And I am born and raised in AZ.
Art has always been a hobby and passion of mine. A Northern Arizona University graduate, I began my career in teaching art to 5th-8th grade students at my local middle school. During the pandemic in 2020 our school campus was closed and students, teachers and families were forced to improvise.
With the time out of the classroom and many extra hours on my hands, I rediscovered my own love for creating and began painting shoes for my nephews.
Then I began painting for friends.
Then friends of friends.
Now I’m creating for the world!
My creative process
